Location: Santo Tomas, Batangas (Site-based, 6-day work week)
Rieckermann Philippines is seeking an experienced and driven Mechanical & Piping (M&P) Project Engineer to oversee the design, procurement, and construction of mechanical and piping works for an Agri-Industrial and Food Processing facility project in Batangas. The position offers a minimum one-year contract with high potential for continuous renewals, serving long term project support for their diverse and expanding operations
The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in managing both brownfield and greenfield construction of industrial plants, particularly within sectors such as chemicals, food processing, or industrial manufacturing. Candidates with extensive QAQC management for complex & large industrial projects are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage M&P scope from design through construction and commissioning, ensuring technical compliance and safety.
- Coordinate and review engineering deliverables from external consultants and contractors.
- Support procurement activities, including technical evaluations and vendor coordination.
- Supervise site installation works and conduct QA/QC inspections to verify compliance with specifications.
- Track progress, report on safety, quality, cost, and schedule, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Facilitate communication between engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Document lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or equivalent technical qualification.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical and piping design, procurement, and construction within Oil & Gas, Food & Beverage, or Chemical industries.
- Strong understanding of QA/QC practices, codes, and standards.
- Experience with 3D model review tools (e.g., Navisworks or equivalent).
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and other engineering tools.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Fluent in English; highly organized and self-driven.
- Willing to be based full-time on-site in Santo Tomas, Batangas.
