    This is a remote position.

    1. Financial Transactions & Record Management
    Maintain and record financial transactions accurately across both Xero and spreadsheet-based systems. Ensure the Excel cash flow forecast and Xero are consistently maintained, cross-checked, and reconciled—management of both systems is compulsory. Reconcile bank, cash, cheque, and credit card transactions on a daily and monthly basis. Manage cash payments, maintain audit-ready documentation, and ensure timely data entry.

    2. Subsidiary Accounts & Financial Reporting
    Maintain and reconcile subsidiary accounts and ledgers. Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow). Provide insights into financial trends to support business decisions. Support internal reporting and financial analysis as required by management.

    3. Accounts Receivable & Payable
    Manage end-to-end accounts receivable and payable functions. Prepare and issue invoices to students; communicate clearly regarding payment deadlines, options, and overdue accounts. Follow up on outstanding payments and handle student billing queries. Process supplier and partner invoices in a timely manner.

    4. Commission & Partner Management
    Track and collect commissions from partner colleges and education providers. Process commission payments to schools, agents, and business partners. Maintain accurate records of all commission agreements and payment schedules. Liaise with colleges and ensure smooth financial coordination.

    5. Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow
    Assist with budget preparation and expense monitoring. Manage and update the cash flow forecast spreadsheet regularly and reconcile it with Xero data. This dual-system management is a non-negotiable responsibility as per management instructions. Report variances and contribute to financial planning processes.

    6. Compliance, Taxation & Audit
    Ensure compliance with ATO regulations and other financial obligations (BAS, superannuation, payroll tax, etc.). Assist in preparing corporate tax returns and liaising with auditors. Complete end-of-month and end-of-year close processes.

    7. Payroll & Staff Expense Management
    Process payroll in accordance with employment regulations and Fair Work  obligations. Monitor and process staff reimbursements and claims. Maintain payroll records with strict confidentiality.

    8. Communication & Collaboration
    Liaise professionally with students, colleges, and education partners regarding financial matters. Work closely with internal teams (Admissions, Student Services, Compliance, etc.). Provide accurate financial advice and support to management and operations staff. Maintain organised digital and physical records of all financial activities

    Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

    At least 2–3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience

    Previous Australian accounting/finance experience preferred

    Strong experience using Xero (required)

    Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (cash flow forecasting, reconciliations, reports)

    Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable

    Experience in payroll processing and staff expense management

    Knowledge of ATO requirements (BAS, GST, superannuation, payroll tax)

    Experience preparing financial reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)

    Strong attention to detail and accuracy

    Ability to reconcile accounts daily and monthly

    Good communication skills (written and verbal)

    Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

    High level of integrity and confidentiality
