    Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Development Communication, Journalism, Broadcasting, and other related four (4) year courses

    Training

    :

    Eight (8) hours of training on technical writing, news writing, project management, media and public relations management, advocacy and social mobilization, legislative advocacy and restorative juvenile justice and welfare system

    Experience

    :

    Two (2) years of experience in organizing and facilitating advocacy and social mobilization activities, press conferences and other media-related activities Coordinate with national government agencies (NGAs), local government units (LGUs), civil society organizations (CSO), people's organizations (PO), and non-government organizations dealing with youth and children Implement communication and advocacy plans Write news reports, press statements/releases and technical reports

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Project Development Officer III shall perform technical functions on the planning, execution, monitoring and evaluation of communication, advocacy and social marketing activities assist in the promotion and maintenance of favorable relations with media and other stakeholders, duty-bearers and general public in the implementation of the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act and perform other related works as instructed by the Social Welfare Officer V and/or Deputy Executive Director and Executive Director.

    Functions and Responsibilities:

    1.Conduct/organize inter-agency activities to observe the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Consciousness Week (JJWeek) every year

    2.Assist in the promotion of linkages and strengthening of partnerships with public information and public relations organizations

    3.Develop press releases to clarify certain issues related to the implementation of JJWA and cases involving CAR and CICL for issuance of the Executive Director and/or Council

    4.Submit reports on monitored news articles for onward submission to the Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committees (RJJWC) to solicit their actions taken and updates every month

    5.Develop appropriate or issue-based IEC and/or advocacy materials to be disseminated to concerned duty-bearers and other target audiences

    6.Develop proposal on to capability building and skills development of the staff under the Advocacy and Communication Division

    7.Provide technical assistance to the RJJWC to develop and to implement their respective regional communication plans and other projects/activities related to advocacy and social mobilization

    8.Provides secretariat support to internal committees

    9.Develop proposal, terms of reference of service providers (consultants/learning service providers'/resource persons), purchase requests to conduct projects/activities related to advocacy and social mobilization in consultation with the immediate supervisor within a set timeline

    10.Prepare administrative and logistical requirements to conduct the projects/activities within a set timeline

    11.Monitors and evaluates of advocacy activities and IEC materials (purpose) and

    12.Perform other tasks as may be assigned by the Division Chief, Deputy Executive Director and Executive Director.

    Job Output:

    1.Yearly observance of the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Consciousness Week (JJWeek).

    2.Press releases/statements on issues related to the implementation of JJWA and other related activities/stories on CAR and CICL.

    3.Monthly monitoring of media reports on the implementation of JJWA and cases involving CAR and CICL.

    4.Popularized version/IEC materials and advocacy materials of the JJWC's issued guidelines/protocols/policies.

    5.Capability building for skills development.

    6.Technical assistance to the Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committees related to advocacy and communication.
