Key Responsibilities
Operations & Supervision
- Supervise all commercial rearing activities including feeding, watering, brooding, lighting, and environmental control.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, biosecurity, safety, and animal welfare standards.
- Monitor housing conditions and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal rearing environments.
Flock Performance & Health
- Monitor flock performance indicators such as body index, uniformity, feed conversion, mortality, and water consumption.
- Ensure proper implementation of vaccination, medication, and health programs as prescribed.
- Identify performance deviations and coordinate corrective measures with management and veterinary teams.
People Management
- Lead, train, and evaluate team leaders and farm workers.
- Assign manpower and ensure productivity and farm discipline.
- Enforce company policies, safety protocols, and biosecurity measures.
Records, Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of production and operational data.
- Prepare and submit regular performance and operational reports.
- Support audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
Facilities & Asset Care
- Ensure proper sanitation, disinfection, and maintenance of poultry houses, equipment, and farm facilities.
- Monitor use of farm supplies and report requirements or issues.
Qualifications
- Graduate of Agriculture, Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in poultry commercial rearing, with supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of poultry rearing practices, biosecurity, and flock performance management.
- Willing to work on-site, extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
