Job summary

The Feedmill Manager will oversee the production, quality, costs, and safety of a feed mill that produces animal feed.

Responsibilities

• Reviews production records.
• Oversees the production, quality, costs and safety of the mill that produces feed for animals.
• Schedules feed production.
• Keeps inventory of feed ingredients and order as needed
• Tests and reviews feed/grain quality
• Schedules employee shifts and keep track of employee time
• Handle customer questions and complaints
• Evaluates operating procedures
• Sets quality assurance standards
• Prepares and monitors monthly, quarterly and yearly budgets
• Stays up to date on new technology and ways to make process improvements
• Trains new employees and provides development opportunities
• Ensures all employees are trained on safety and continue to stay up to date
• Maintains filling equipment and other equipment needed to perform duties such as loaders, scales etc.
• Shall also be in charge of operating the egg trays and egg grader machines

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in BS Industrial Engineering. Additional courses in business management or administration are also recommended.
• Extensive experience in a farming-related field, most specially in feedmill operations.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Should also have a strong leadership skill, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
