    Summary

    We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various aspects of the accounting process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with tax and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate accounting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare journal entries and maintain account reconciliations consistent with GAAP and corporate accounting policies.
    • Ensure accounting entries are properly recorded, substantiated, and communicated with various stakeholders.
    • Manage accounts payable workstreams, including processing vendor invoices and reviewing expenses for proper categorization.
    • Collaborate with internal departments to establish procurement processes and to streamline and improve vendor onboarding and maintenance.
    • Manage accounts receivable workstreams, including sending invoices, applying payments, and maintaining AR aging analysis.
    • Participate in the month- and quarter-end close process and related responsibilities for the accounting department.
    • Prepare and maintain reports/schedules for senior management.
    • Assist with pulling support for auditors.
    • Assist with various tax and reporting requirements/filings.
    • Perform special projects as assigned by management, including streamlining accounting systems and processes.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting or a related field.
    • A minimum of 1+ years of experience as an accounting professional.
    • Experience within a corporate accounting environment, including the usage of various accounting systems and tools.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (use financial and logical functions; work with multiple worksheets and workbooks; import and export information).
    • Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively multi-task and establish priorities.
    • Strong and effective communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
    • Capability to work both independently and as part of a team on projects.
    • Enjoys building relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to better drive change.
    • A strong sense of initiative and the ability to drive projects to completion.
    • Experience working in a high-growth startup, preferably at a software company.
