    RESPONSIBILITIES

    About the role

    As a tax accountant, you will ensure that our client's financial records are kept up to date up to its latest transactions. You will work closely with our client's Accounting team in ensuring that all recorded transactions are kept accurate and precise. Experience and extensive knowledge on preparation and submission of audits and tax returns are also a must for this role.

    What you'll do:

    Account work

    • Maintain accurate financial records and update account books on a timely basis.
    • Preparation of monthly intercompany billing.
    • Preparation and submission of monthly tax returns (eg. VAT, Income tax, withholding tax etc.)
    • Passing month-end journal, completing monthly consolidation package.
    • Preparation for yearly statutory audit and answering tax queries from the local tax agent.
    • Maintain a record of fixed assets and inventories on office equipment.
    • Supply group accountant with required invoices and receipts upon request.
    • Process staff claims and conduct checking for the claiming amount.
    • Prepare monthly balance sheet schedule.
    • Provide other support to the group accounting department.

    Admin and HR

    • Conduct checks on the staff attendance sheet and verify OT hours.
    • Preparation of employee payroll including withholding tax and SSS contributions.
    • File and pay employment tax via online Electronic Filing and Payment System (eFPS).
    • Facilitate staff onboarding tasks and ensure stationery and equipment for the role are well prepared.
    • Monitor and assist the Philippines entity comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including labor and tax laws.
    • Assist staff activity planning and looking after office equipment.
    • Any other ad-hoc job assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related course, such as finance or business administration.
    • At least 3 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and a solid understanding of local GAAP.
    • Experience in preparation of staff payroll, submission of employee tax, and SSS contribution.
    • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
    • Knowledge of HR practices and procedures.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
