Key Responsibilities1. Quality Control & Assurance
- Supervise daily inspection activities for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
- Ensure molded parts meet dimensional, visual, and functional specifications.
- Approve first article inspections (FAI) and production start-ups.
- Monitor process capability (Cp, Cpk) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and customer-specific requirements.
2. Team Supervision
- Lead, train, and mentor QA inspectors and technicians.
- Assign inspection tasks and monitor performance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- Ensure proper shift coverage and workflow coordination.
3. Process & Product Quality Monitoring
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve quality issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis (8D, Fishbone, 5 Why).
- Monitor scrap rates and implement improvement plans.
- Support mold trials and new product launches.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports (NCR).
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality performance reports.
- Manage calibration of measuring equipment (CMM, calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Ensure proper document control and traceability.
5. Customer & Supplier Quality
- Address customer complaints and lead corrective/preventive action (CAPA).
- Participate in customer audits and internal audits.
- Evaluate supplier quality and incoming material inspections.
6. Continuous Improvement
- Lead quality improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Analyze data trends and recommend process improvements.
- Reduce defects, rework, and customer returns.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field preferred.
- Diploma with strong experience may be considered.
Experience:
- 3–5+ years of quality experience in injection molding or plastic manufacturing.
- At least 1–2 years in a supervisory role preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of injection molding processes.
- Understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
- Experience with measuring tools (CMM, height gauge, micrometer, caliper).
- Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, PPAP, MSA.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Reduction in defect rate (PPM).
- Scrap and rework reduction.
- Customer complaint resolution time.
- Audit compliance score.
- On-time inspection and reporting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php30, Php35,000.00 per month
