Job description:
Primary Objective of Position
The Front Office Duty Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Front Office, handling guest complaints and preferences, and providing supervision and direction to staff whenever necessary in accordance with the objectives, performance, and quality standards established by The Alpha Suites.
Essential FunctionsHandles guest profile, history/remarks, guests' needs, and preferences; meets and assists VIP Guests.
Personally attends to guest complaints and initiates immediate/ urgent resolutions.
Submits relevant reports to the Front Office Manager.
Ensures that departmental training objectives and activities are aligned with operational objectives.
Contributes to the total productivity of Room Revenue. Proactively promotes the hotel and ensures walk-in and Room Upsell Budgets are reached monthly.
Utilizes all communication tools available to disseminate information in a timely manner. Coordinates with the Front Office Supervisors in conducting briefings to Front Office Associates regularly.
Spot-checks products and services performed by the Front Office Department.
Attends scheduled employee training and periodic reviews on departmental responsibilities in case of emergencies.
Responds to emergency calls, as may be required from time to time.
Handles and immediately reports and turns over lost and found items/ articles.
Other job-related responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or relevant degree.
Minimum 2 years of Front Office assistant managerial experience or minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
Highly knowledgeable in handling guest complaints and emergency procedures.
Highly knowledgeable of Front Office Operations in a luxury hotel setting.
Effective problem-solving skills, particularly in resolving guest issues or addressing operational challenges.
Amenable to work in a shifting schedule.
