    The Occupational Health Nurse is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health and safety of employees in compliance with the Philippine Occupational Safety and Health Standards (DOLE Department Order No , Republic Act 11058, and other applicable DOLE regulations.

    The role ensures implementation of workplace health programs, emergency response, medical surveillance, and compliance with government health and safety requirements.

    Workplace Health Services:

    • Provide basic healthcare services and first aid treatment to employees.
    • Conduct health assessments, monitor employees' medical conditions related to workplace hazards and evaluate return-to-work medical certificates/examinations
    • Assist in pre-employment (PEME) and annual physical examinations (APE) related activities
    • Maintain and manage clinic operations, supplies, and medical equipment

    OSH Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:

    • Ensure compliance with RA 11058 and DOLE Department Order No
    • Assist in implementation of the company's Occupational Safety and Health Program (OSHP)
    • Maintain medical and health records in accordance with DOLE reporting requirement.
    • Assist in workplace hazard identification and risk assessment related to employee health
    • Participate in Safety and Health Committee meetings and initiatives

    Emergency Preparedness and Response:

    • Provide emergency medical response during workplace accidents and illnesses
    • Assist in developing and implementing emergency preparedness and disaster response plans
    • Coordinate with external medical facilities and emergency responders when necessary
    • Maintain incident and injury reports and support accident investigations

    Health Promotion and Employee Wellness:

    • Develop and implement employee health and wellness programs
    • Assist in HMO (medical insurance) benefits related activities
    • Conduct health education campaigns such as but not limited to: Occupational disease prevention, Mental health awareness, Lifestyle disease prevention, Ergonomics and workplace health awareness, Assist in vaccination and health surveillance programs as required by DOLE / DOH

    Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain confidential employee medical records
    • Prepare and submit required health and safety reports to DOLE and other regulatory agencies
    • Monitor and record occupational injuries, illnesses, and exposure incidents

    Collaboration and Training:

    • Work with Safety Officers and management in implementing OSH initiatives
    • Conduct first aid and health-related training programs for employees
    • Provide guidance on workplace health risks and preventive measures

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduate
    • Must be a Registered Nurse (active PRC license)
    • Trained/Certified on Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) Training for Nurses an advantage
    • First Aid and Basic Life Support Certification an advantage
    • At least 6 months clinical or occupational health nursing experience an advantage
    • Experience in corporate or industrial clinic setting an advantage.
    • Amenable to night shift or shifting schedules depending on company operations
