- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or any relevant field of discipline
- At least 2 years of prior experience in compliance or any regulatory role with focus in detection and review of potential risks especially market abuse and manipulation
- Knowledge in reviewing market abuse scenarios (e.g. frontrunning, layering, spoofing, ramping) and the use of market surveillance systems like Nasdaq SMARTS and Scila as well as case management NICE ActOne
- Experience in reviewing e-communications and voice alerts would be advantageous
- Familiarity with traded products such as Fixed Income, Forex, Futures, Options, Commodities and/or Equities would be advantageous.

What role you will play

You will perform daily Surveillance reviews on various market abuse scenario alert types and provide adequate review documentation of the resolution of alerts. Regularly engaging with your local and global colleagues you will identify patterns and behaviors indicating market abuse and misconduct, and proactively contribute to the fine-tuning exercises of our detection parameters and models. Finally, you will maintain and update the documentation procedures related to surveillance processes, be able participate with the User Acceptance Testing of new systems/models if needed.

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie's material risks. Our divisions include behavioural risk, compliance, credit, financial crime risk, internal audit, market risk, operational risk and governance, prudential risk, and Risk Management Group central.
