The Sourcing Specialist plays a key role within Abbott's Talent Acquisition organization by building strong pipelines of high-quality talent to support hiring needs across Abbott Shared Services. This role focuses on proactive research, market mapping, talent engagement, and strategic sourcing activities to ensure the business has access to the right talent at the right time. The Sourcing Specialist partners closely with Recruiters, Hiring Managers, and HR stakeholders to understand workforce requirements and deliver exceptional candidate experience aligned with Abbott's standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development
- Proactively source and identify top talent across multiple functions using advanced sourcing strategies, talent mapping, social platforms, niche job boards, research tools, and market intelligence.
- Develop and maintain diverse and high-quality talent pipelines for recurring and hard-to-fill roles across Abbott Shared Services.
- Conduct market research to understand talent supply, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
- Continuously build passive candidate networks and communities for future hiring needs.
Candidate Engagement & Assessment
- Engage passive candidates through personalized outreach and compelling employer branding messages.
- Conduct initial pre-screenings to assess candidate qualifications, interest level, and alignment with Abbott's values and role requirements.
- Ensure a high-quality candidate experience through timely communication and professional interactions
Collaboration & Stakeholder Partnership
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition Partners/Recruiters to understand hiring priorities, role requirements, and sourcing targets.
- Provide updates on pipeline progress, market insights, and sourcing challenges.
- Participate in intake meetings, calibration sessions, and strategic workforce discussions.
Process Excellence & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Provide data-driven sourcing dashboards, talent market insights, and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with Abbott's global recruitment standards, data privacy, and sourcing best practices.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in sourcing or recruitment, preferably in a shared services or multinational environment.
- Strong experience with sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, social recruiting, Boolean seach).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage passive candidates effectively.
- Strong organizational, research, and time-management skills.
Preferred
- Experience supporting finance, HR, supply chain, procurement, or other shared services functions.
- Familiarity with Workday, Phenom CRM or similar Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Knowledge of global sourcing markets and diversity sourcing strategies.
