    Job Summary

    The Project Accountant – GL is responsible for managing general ledger activities, financial reporting, and account reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements. The role supports individual and consolidated financial reporting requirements of entities including compliance with regulatory and audit requirements. This position ensures integrity of financial records, proper reconciliation of accounts, and timely submission of reports.

    Specific Duties & Responsibilities

    General Ledger and Financial Reporting

    • Prepare monthly and interim individual and consolidated financial statements for multiple entities under the MGEN Renewables group.
    • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, including Audited Financial Statements (AFS) and GFFS, for submission to regulatory bodies such as the SEC.
    • Prepare and post journal entries and perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
    • Maintain complete and accurate general ledger records in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
    • Monitor and update account schedules and supporting schedules for consolidated and individual financial statements.

    Reconciliation and Account Monitoring

    • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
    • Reconcile intercompany balances and transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper elimination for consolidation.
    • Monitor receivables and issue statements of account and debit memos to related parties.
    • Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data across all assigned entities.

    Financial Analysis and Reporting Support

    • Perform monthly variance analysis and provide explanations on financial performance and account movements.
    • Assist in preparing financial reports, presentations, and supporting schedules for Board and management committee meetings.
    • Support revenue analysis and other financial reviews as required by management.

    Audit and Compliance

    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required documents, schedules, and explanations during audits.
    • Ensure compliance with PFRS, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
    • Support implementation and maintenance of internal controls related to financial reporting.

    Key Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
    • At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in General Ledger, financial reporting, or project accounting.
    • Experience in handling consolidated financial statements is highly preferred.
    • Experience in energy, infrastructure, or project-based environments is an advantage.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
    • Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
