    Client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Underwriter to lead underwriting efforts and drive strategic credit decisions. This role requires 5–10 years of underwriting experience, advanced financial analysis skills, and the ability to mentor junior team members. The Senior Underwriter will work closely with senior management to evaluate complex transactions and ensure sound risk management practices.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead underwriting process for complex commercial credit transactions.
    • Perform advanced financial analysis, including DCF, DSCR, and cash flow modeling.
    • Assess risk and recommend credit structures aligned with company objectives.
    • Collaborate with senior management on strategic credit decisions.
    • Mentor and guide junior underwriters and analysts.
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare detailed credit memos and present recommendations to credit committee.
    • Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CPA or CFA preferred).
    • 5–10 years of underwriting experience in commercial credit or financial services.
    • Proven ability to analyze complex financial statements and develop risk assessments.
    • Strong knowledge of credit policies, loan structures, and regulatory guidelines.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience with financial modeling tools and advanced Excel functions.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
    • Leadership experience in guiding underwriting teams.
    • Familiarity with insurance and specialty finance sectors.

    Work Hours & Equipment

    This position operates on Mountain Daylight Time (MDT) hours. Client will provide company equipment; candidates should be comfortable using their own equipment temporarily if needed.
