About Us

Red Letter Marketing (RLM) is a marketing agency with locations in North Carolina, US and Clark, Philippines, supporting clients in the United States. We are a full-service marketing agency, helping our clients with their websites, digital marketing and traditional marketing – whatever is needed to help them grow their business.

We manage websites for many of our clients and are seeking a web developer to join our team. The right candidate will have the ability to create and maintain websites that are well-performing (including against pagespeed metrics), secure, and that adhere to brand guidelines and design layouts provided by our design team. Our developers work hand-in-hand with our design team to ensure the alignment of design, user experience and brand consistency.

Our team at Red Letter Marketing works remotely but work closely together as a team. We work hard for our clients and take great pride in helping to grow their business, but we also take the worklife balance of our team seriously. Job Responsibilities

o Develop WordPress websites and web applications that embody best practices for usability, performance, security and pagespeed.

o Develop, maintain and optimize backend applications using PHP.

o Design and build custom WordPress plugins tailored to business requirements.

o Integrate and manage JSON data structures and RESTful APIs for internal and third-party services.

o Write clean, scalable and well-documented code following best practices.

· Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues including security, backups and performance optimizations.

· Collaborate with designs and other developers to deliver high-quality web solutions

· Perform testing, debugging and ongoing maintenance of websites and web applications

· Ensure website security, performance optimization and cross-browser compatibility.

· Stay current with website building and maintenance best practices, including pagespeed, security and Google core web vitals. Communicate recommendations to the team.

Requirements:

At least 5 years of professional experience in web development.
Fluency in spoken and written English
Knowledge and strong experience with the following:

· WordPress development (Elementor experience a plus)

· PHP

· JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks

· DNS management and server configuration

· Solid understanding of JSON structures and API integrations.

· Knowledge of Google PageSpeed and Google Core Web Vitals and familiarity with methods and tools available to optimize to them

· Experience with version control (Git/GitLab)

· Hands on experience deploying and managing websites on a hosted server

· Solid understanding of best practices for website security. Experience with WordPress hardening and Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) preferred.

· Ability to work night shift
