Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead API Test Engineer to lead API-level and integration testing efforts across enterprise platforms including EIP, HES, ESRM, and other integrated systems. This role requires strong technical expertise in API validation, integration flows, and test strategy, along with the ability to provide project leadership and triage support.
The ideal candidate will drive quality assurance initiatives, ensure seamless system integrations, and lead testing efforts across complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead API-level and integration testing initiatives across EIP, HES, ESRM, and related systems
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive API test cases
- Perform REST and SOAP API testing using tools such as Postman and SoapUI
- Validate request/response payloads (JSON/XML) for accuracy and compliance
- Conduct end-to-end integration testing across multiple systems
- Analyze integration flows to identify potential risks and failure points
- Provide triage support for defects, including root cause analysis and impact assessment
- Collaborate with development, business, and architecture teams to ensure quality standards
- Guide and mentor junior QA team members
- Contribute to test strategy, test planning, and quality improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in API testing (REST and SOAP)
- Proficiency with Postman and/or SoapUI
- Solid understanding of JSON and XML payload structures
- Experience in integration flow analysis and validation
- Proven leadership experience in QA or testing projects
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
