We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Technical Purchasing Assistant to support the sourcing, evaluation, and coordination of suppliers for appliances and construction-related materials. This role plays a key part in ensuring that procured products meet technical specifications, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and project needs.
The successful candidate will contribute to efficient procurement processes, cost optimization initiatives, and the consistent delivery of compliant, high-quality materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate local and international suppliers based on quality, pricing, and reliability
- Review and verify technical specifications, drawings, and material requirements
- Request and analyze supplier quotations, samples, and lead times
- Prepare product comparison sheets covering pricing, specifications, and compliance details
- Maintain and update supplier databases and pricing records
- Assist in coordinating shipments, documentation, and delivery follow-ups
- Collaborate closely with operations and sales teams to clarify product requirements
- Ensure materials delivered meet required technical standards and project specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- Experience in purchasing, sourcing, hardware, appliances, or construction materials is an advantage
- Ability to interpret basic technical specifications (e.g., dimensions, materials, voltages, thickness, finishes)
- Strong negotiation, coordination, and communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office and/or Google Sheets
- Fresh graduates with relevant technical exposure are encouraged to apply
