With over 1.2 billion products sold annually across markets in ANZ, Europe, North America, the Group is now looking to expand its presence through Anko-branded stores in Southeast Asia.

In joint venture with the Ayala Corporation and Kmart Group Australia, the first Anko store in the Philippines was launched late 2024 in Makati with five stores now available across Metro Manila. These Anko stores provide shoppers with quality, design, and affordability all in one place with products across key categories like home, kitchen, toys, and beauty. The response from Filipino shoppers has been very positive which has driven the development an ambitious expansion program.

We are looking for a Merchandise Specialist to primarily be responsible for providing accurate and timely administrative support, maintenance of product data, supporting workflow and communication between Merchandise and Stores, and helping deliver consistent execution of events, and merchandising activities. This role also supports store operations by coordinating communications, resolving operational issues, and contributing to workflow planning.

What you'll be doing:

As the Merchandise Specialist of Anko in the Philippines, you will be the key brand representative in the market with responsibility for:

• Provide accurate and timely administrative and merchandise support, including product maintenance, event process coordination, and ensuring consistency and compliance across key merchandising workflows.
• Coordinate and implement operational projects and event processes—such as PIRs—by gathering and consolidating information, setting clear objectives and measures, and ensuring consistent execution across stores.
• Support the Anko Global team across merchandise strategy, and plan regular store visits to seek feedback and ensure compliance of the merchandise strategy.
• Support in season trading by liaising with stores and customers on merchandise queries.
• Submit required documentation and samples to marketing based on required deadlines, advise marketing of amendments to advertised merchandise
• Enable efficient store operations by delivering clear, timely communication between Merchandise and Stores, assisting with workflow planning, driving process consistency and innovation, and maintaining strong customer service standards
• Ensure seamless store execution by minimising operational issues, managing events and communications, coordinating with stakeholders, and delivering accurate and consistent messaging to stores
• Support effective store operations by identifying and resolving system/pricing issues, delivering improvements that reduce operational effort, and ensuring stores have the resources needed to execute strategy.
• Provide input into business plans that impact Store Operations and contribute to initiatives that minimise store disruption while improving workflow efficiency.

To be successful in this role you'll have:

• Experience in a retail environment.
• Understanding of store workflow, retail calendars, and operational processes.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• High attention to detail with strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Strong communication, relationship‑building, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Problem investigation and resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
