I. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervises all health and safety activities at the plant and the jobsites within the scope and authority granted by the General Manager.
• Develops and implements the company's health, safety and environment Manual.
• Ensures all the activities of the company are undertaken with compliance with applicable health, safety and environment procedures, rules, regulations, and safe practices.
• Ensures adequate health, safety, and environment training is undertaken in all departments for all employees.
• Ensures health, safety and environment signs and warnings are displayed at strategic location in the plant, the office and the job sites.
• Conducts regular inspection of the facilities and the job sites to identify potential hazards.
• Ensures protective clothing and equipment is available and used by employees concerned.
• Ensures fire protection equipment is adequate and complies with applicable regulations.
• Ensures particular health, safety and environment procedures that may be required or imposed by clients are properly understood and implemented by concerned.
• Prepares and keeps updated at all times, list of machineries, tools, equipment, requiring regular safety inspection and ensure compliance with the same.
• Ensures that materials, products, products that may become hazardous are properly identified, stored, handled, used a disposed of.
• Maintains up dated at all times a record of all incidents, accidents, injuries and reports the same as applicable procedure.
• Maintain up dated at all times a record of violation related to health safety and environment regulations.
• Investigate the cause of incidents, injuries, health problems and proposed remedial actions.
• Liaise with and follow up queries, request to/from clients, contractors, local authority government agencies on all matters pertaining to health and safety.
• Ensure company's policies on attendance, disciplines etc. are properly understood by all concerned.
• Attest to the veracity of employee's time records.
• Proposed manpower enhancement, training and motivation programs.
• Promote cooperation and good relations among all employees.
• Prepare quarterly performance evaluation report for all health, safety and environment personnel.
• Attend management and jobsite meeting.
• Coordinate with other company's departments.
• Any other activity that may be directed from time to time by management.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

EDUCATION :
Graduate of any engineering course or Related Course


EXPERIENCE :
With at least four (4) years relevant experience in

Occupational safety and health


SKILLS :
Computer literate particularly Microsoft Office applications

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Fluent in written and verbal English

Organize and keen to details


TRAINING :
Has attended Construction Safety and Health Training (40) Forty

Hours and any advance course on Occupational Health and

Safety
