Job Overview

This role involves supporting billing and operations tasks related to data input, document scanning, basic reporting, and follow-up. The primary responsibilities of the coordinator will include day-to-day clerical accounting, coordinating shipments, invoicing, generating reports, data entry, and collections.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately input trade shipment documents, both import and export, into the system
• Process incoming invoices and billings efficiently and in a timely manner
• Collaborate with the Operations and Customer Service teams to ensure the timely update of shipment status
• Monitor collections, contra settlements, and actively follow up on open accounts receivable matters
• Work closely with the sales team to provide necessary company information and support
• Maintain organized records, including archiving and scanning documents

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, Commerce, or a Related Field is preferred but not required
• Knowledgeable of standard accounting, invoicing, account receivable, accounts payable processes and practices within the Freight Forwarding industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Office e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word,
• Experience in the transportation/logistics industry with freight forwarder, logistics provider
• Understanding of international inward and outward-bound freight forwarding
• Working knowledge of Transportation Management Software is an asset e.g. SAP, Cargowise
