    Role Overview

    The Data Mapping / SQL Analyst is responsible for supporting the migration of enterprise data from Oracle E‑Business Suite (EBS) to Oracle Fusion. This role focuses on data analysis, mapping, validation, and reconciliation, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and alignment with Fusion data models and business requirements.

    The analyst works closely with functional consultants, technical teams, and business stakeholders to translate legacy EBS data structures into Fusion-ready formats using SQL and data transformation logic.

    Key Responsibilities

    Data Mapping & Analysis

    • Analyze Oracle EBS source tables, schemas, and data relationships.
    • Develop and maintain data mapping documents from EBS to Oracle Fusion objects.
    • Translate business and functional requirements into logical and physical data mappings.
    • Identify data gaps, redundancies, and transformation rules during migration.

    SQL Development & Data Validation

    • Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, validate, and reconcile data.
    • Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation activities.
    • Support data conversion cycles (mock runs, UAT, production cutover).
    • Validate record counts, totals, and key attributes between source and target systems.

    Migration & Reconciliation Support

    • Assist in ETL / data load activities (e.g., FBDI, ADFdi, custom loaders).
    • Perform pre- and post-migration reconciliation to ensure data integrity.
    • Investigate and resolve data issues, mismatches, and load errors.
    • Document root causes and provide corrective recommendations.

    Collaboration & Documentation

    • Work closely with Functional Consultants (Finance, SCM, HCM, etc.) to understand data usage.
    • Coordinate with Technical and Integration teams during migration runs.
    • Maintain clear documentation for:
    • Data mappings
    • Transformation rules
    • Validation and reconciliation results
    • Support audit and compliance requirements related to data accuracy.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    Technical Skills

    • Strong proficiency in SQL (Oracle SQL preferred).
    • Solid understanding of relational database concepts.
    • Experience with Oracle E‑Business Suite data structures.
    • Exposure to Oracle Fusion data models is highly preferred.
    • Experience supporting data migration or system transformation projects.

    Functional & Analytical Skills

    • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
    • Ability to interpret functional requirements and translate them into data logic.
    • High attention to detail and data accuracy.
    • Experience working with large data volumes.

    Communication & Collaboration

    • Ability to explain data issues to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
    • Comfortable working in cross‑functional project teams.
    • Strong documentation and reporting skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in EBS to Fusion migration projects.
    • Knowledge of FBDI, ADFdi, or Oracle Data Loader tools.
    • Background in Finance, Supply Chain, or HCM data domains.
    • Experience in UAT and production cutover support.
