    What You Will Do:

    • Own and drive the Expected Credit Loss (ECL) and provisioning framework across all lending products in line with IFRS 9 / PFRS 9.
    • Serve as the business and risk owner for PD, LGD, and EAD models, ensuring conceptual soundness, consistency, and appropriate use across portfolios.
    • Translate portfolio strategy, underwriting changes, and macro-economic assumptions into ECL impacts and provisioning outcomes.
    • Partner with Data Science, Finance, and external vendors to design, enhance, validate, and implement ECL models and overlays (without hands-on model development).
    • Lead scenario design, macro-economic overlays, and management judgment applied to provisions, ensuring transparency and defensibility.
    • Monitor model performance, back-testing results, and emerging portfolio risks, and recommend recalibration or overlays where required.
    • Drive governance, documentation, and approval of ECL methodologies, assumptions, and changes through internal committees and audits.
    • Act as the central point of coordination between Credit, Finance, Risk, and Audit on all matters related to provisioning.

    What You Need to Succeed:

    • 5+ years experience in credit risk analytics, ECL/IFRS9 modeling, provisioning, or portfolio risk management in a bank or financial institution.
    • Strong conceptual understanding of IFRS9/PFRS9, including staging, PD/LGD/EAD, SICR, and forward-looking information.
    • Experience owning or governing credit risk models, even if not hands-on in building them.
    • Ability to translate macro-economic scenarios into portfolio and product-level provisioning impact.
    • Strong analytical and judgment skills, particularly in applying management overlays and expert judgment.
    • Experience working with model validation, internal audit, and external auditors.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex ECL outcomes to senior management and non-technical audiences.
    • High attention to detail, structure, and documentation discipline.

    Nice to Have:

    • Experience in digital banks or fast-growing lending portfolios.
    • Exposure to regulatory exams, stress testing, or ICAAP.
    • Experience managing vendor-built or outsourced ECL models.
