Job summary

Contact multiple vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes, product samples and service details. Collect and compare pricing for similar products or services across different suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms for the organization. Maintain a database of current prices and vendor options. Investigate available products or services to ensure they meet the organization's needs, including specifications, quality standards, and reliability. Collect data on new or alternative products that could offer cost savings or better performance.

Qualifications

  • At least a Bachelor's/College Degree Engineering or any related field.
  • At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Contact multiple vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes, product samples and service details.
  • Collect and compare pricing for similar products or services across different suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms for the organization.
  • Maintain a database of current prices and vendor options.
  • Investigate available products or services to ensure they meet the organization's needs, including specifications, quality standards, and reliability.
  • Accurately document all vendor responses, quotes and relevant information. Input date into purchasing databases, spreadsheets or procurement systems to track progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Monitor market trends, changes in pricing and emerging suppliers. Provide feedback to the purchasing department on new opportunities or potential risks in the supply chain.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with key vendors and suppliers. Serve as a point of contact for routine queries or negotiations related to pricing, terms or delivery schedules.
