    Job Description

    Job Role: Senior Tax Accountant

    Work Shift: 7am-4pm

    Work Set Up: Hybrid or WFH

    SUMMARY OF ROLE

    The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a range of tasks to help their business services team deliver timely service to internal and external stakeholders. The core focus is to preparation of income

    tax returns, financial statements and Activity Statements (BAS/IAS) for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and superannuation funds (SMSF).

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Attend to business related matters for your clients e.g., fringe benefits tax, tax planning, interim work, assessment notices etc
    • Providing taxation and financial advice to companies, individuals, partnerships and SMSFs
    • Determine Small business CGT concessions, FBT, Div. 7a and GST reconciliations and calculations
    • Summarise and prepare Taxable Payments Annual Reports (TPAR)
    • Responsible for Bookkeeping, Payroll, and reconciliation of accounts and fixed assets
    • Other workpapers and reports that the management/clients or other stakeholders require
    • Mentor and oversee junior, intermediate accountants and colleagues
    • Using software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, APS, Handisoft or equivalent Australian
    • Maintaining client relationships with attendance at meetings as required and being the key contact for a portfolio of clients

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3+ years' experience in business services and Australian Tax Accounting.
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Management Accounting
