    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a Senior IT Specialist to serve as a key technical resource supporting our growing organization. This role will be responsible for Microsoft 365 administration, network infrastructure, virtual desktop environments, and leading IT planning and execution for a new office build-out. The ideal candidate is hands-on, solutions-oriented, and comfortable owning projects end-to-end while providing high-quality day-to-day IT support.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Microsoft 365 Administration:
    • Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Intune
    • Manage user accounts, licensing, security policies, conditional access, and device management
    • Implement and maintain security best practices, MFA, data protection, and compliance controls
    1. Network & Infrastructure:
    • Configure, and support on-prem and cloud-connected network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, etc…)
    • Troubleshoot network performance, connectivity, and security issues
    • Work with vendors and service providers for internet, networking hardware, and managed services
    1. Virtual Desktops and Systems:
    • Deploy, manage, and support virtual desktop environments (e.g., AWS/Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, VDI solutions)
    • Optimize performance, reliability, and user experience for remote and hybrid users
    • Support Windows endpoints, hardware lifecycle management, and system patching
    • Automate routine tasks where possible using scripting and tools
    1. New Office Build-Out:
    • Lead IT planning and execution for a new office location, including:
    • Network and Wi-Fi design
    • Cabling, hardware, and equipment selection
    • Conference room technology and AV systems
    • Workstation setup and deployment
    • Coordinate with facilities, leadership, vendors, and contractors to ensure timelines and requirements are met
    • Ensure the new office meets security, scalability, and business needs
    1. General IT Support & Leadership:
    • Provide tier 2/3 technical support and act as an escalation point for complex issues
    • Mentor junior IT staff or act as a technical lead where appropriate
    • Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and procedures
    • Proactively identify opportunities to improve systems, security, and efficiency

    Qualifications:

    • Education: 5+ years of progressive IT experience in a senior or advanced technical role
    • Experience:
    • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and security
    • Experience with Azure, Entra ID, Intune, and endpoint management
    • Knowledge of security frameworks and best practices
    • Solid networking experience (switches, Wi-Fi, etc…)
    • Experience supporting virtual desktop or remote desktop environments
    • Proven ability to manage IT projects independently, including office build-outs
    • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
    • Experience in a growing or fast-paced organization
    • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, CompTIA A+, Network+, or CrowdStrike Certified Falcon Administrator (CCFA) are a plus.
