    YOUR ROLE

    The Associate Database Engineer will perform tasks related to monitoring Centreon and User-Defined Metrics to report alerts to Database team and running reports as requested. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values. First level escalation.

    WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

    • Perform day-to-day monitoring of CENTREON/User-Defined metrics and alerts of Database Team
    • Provide technical support to ensure monitoring performance
    • Maintain documentation for installation, configuration, and maintenance of monitoring systems
    • Perform implementation and updates of monitoring tools and scrupts under the direction of an Intermediate Engineer
    • Participate in research and development of new tools and modules
    • Develop and configure monitoring thresholds, alerting and reporting capabilities
    • Create accounts for all users and assign security levels
    • Follow established policies and procedures; determine and recommend potential enhancements.
    • Working hours are 40 hours a week, Rotating schedule typically include regular unsocial hours. Overnight and weekend work.
    • Communication, Teamwork, negotiation skills, problem-solving and good analytical skills.
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

    • Bachelor's degree related to computer studies.
    • Certificate is an advantage.
    • Good troubleshooting skills.
    • Understanding of computer software, databases and programming
    • Excellent written/spoken English language
    • Able to work off own initiative.
    • Ability to multitask and excellent time management skills.
    • Able to own an issue and see it through to resolution
    • Possess problem solving skill, conflict resolution, decision making and planning skills
