Role Overview
The Head of Commercial Banking Center leads the overall performance, profitability, and risk governance of the Binondo Center. This role is responsible for driving loan portfolio growth, ensuring strong credit discipline, and maintaining regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional client service.
You will provide strategic leadership to Account Officers and represent the Bank in key credit, syndicate, and executive committee forums.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Profitability
- Develop and execute strategic business and marketing plans
- Drive loan portfolio growth and collateral business
- Achieve volume, income, and profitability targets
- Manage annual financial budgeting for the Center
Portfolio & Credit Risk Management
- Oversee portfolio quality, credit structuring, and risk assessment
- Review and approve credit transactions within delegated authority
- Present loan proposals to Executive Credit Committees
- Represent the Bank in syndicate and creditor meetings
Client & Market Development
- Conduct joint client calls and relationship-building initiatives
- Identify new business opportunities and expand wallet share
- Provide guidance to Account Officers on negotiations and credit discussions
Leadership & Governance
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing commercial banking team
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and credit policies
- Maintain strong risk management and documentation standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in Commercial Banking
- Strong experience managing loan portfolios and credit risk
- Proven track record in achieving growth and profitability targets
- Experience presenting to senior credit or executive committees
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
Preferred:
- Experience in syndicated lending or structured finance
- Exposure to large commercial/corporate portfolios
- Fluency in Chinese (Fukien/Hokkien) is an advantage
