    Information Security & Systems Lead (Remote)

    • This isn't a helpdesk role, this isn't a policy-writing exercise, this is about embedding real security into real operations.
    • Security is the outcome. Systems are the mechanisms.
    • You'll report directly to the CEO and own the organisation's security posture end-to-end.
    About the Role
    • You are the authority.
    • You operate and evolve the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
    • You ensure ISO-aligned practice is lived — not laminated.
    • You own Microsoft 365 governance.
    • You reduce operational risk.
    • You remove security burden from the CEO.
    • This is a senior, hands-on role with real autonomy and executive visibility.
    Your Key Responsibilities:
    • Operate and maintain the ISMS.
    • Drive ISO-aligned readiness (practical, not performative).
    • Manage security policies, registers & evidence.
    • Own and respond to client security questionnaires.
    • Oversee access controls and data governance.
    • Govern Microsoft 365 structure (SharePoint, Teams, permissions).
    • Improve workflows using Power Automate & related tools.
    • Identify gaps and propose remediation plans.
    • Coordinate audits and external assessments.

    • Experience operating or maintaining an ISO-aligned security framework.
    • Formal qualification or certification in information security or cyber security.
    • Experience managing controls, documentation, and review cycles.
    • Hands-on experience in Microsoft 365 environments.
    • Proven ability to improve messy systems and make them structured and auditable.
    • Experience supporting ISO audits or responding to client assurance requests is highly regarded.
