- Oracle database administration tasks such as cloning, backup and recovery, full DB restore and recovery, PITR, implementing backup policies/strategies, Data Guard configuration and administration, performance tuning, storage management, and user/permission management.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting Oracle databases in all environments.
- Patching Oracle DBs for bugs or security patches.
- Managing and maintaining various software and monitoring tools used by the Database Administration Unit.
- Addressing end-users requests and issues by coordinating with relevant sections or units within the organization.
- Liaising with Oracle Support for internal Service Requests related to Oracle database or Oracle E-Business technology stack.
- Automating routine DBA Tasks using ansible or shell scripting.
- Oracle Database management.
- Previous experience in implementing Oracle RMAN backup procedures.
- Previous experience in implementing/managing Oracle Data Guard.
- Proficiency in SQL*Plus and PL/SQL programming.
- Familiarity with SQL Developer.
- Experience in managing Oracle databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager.
- Knowledge of the Oracle E-Business Suite from an architectural and technical standpoint.
- Proficiency in cloning Oracle E-Business Suite.
- Experience in applying patches on both databases and applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot common Oracle application issues.
- Familiarity with filing Service Request tickets in MOS (My Oracle Support).
- Previous experience in managing Oracle MySQL databases.
- Previous experience in managing PostgreSQL databases.
- Experience with Unix or Linux OS.
- Experience in dealing with network infrastructure.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle DB Administration.
- Previous experience in PostgreSQL DB Administration.
- Client-oriented approach with the ability to mediate and resolve conflicts, and address client inquiries, requests, and complaints.
