    We're Hiring: Workday Payroll App Engineer

    Location: Ayala, Makati City

    Work Setup: Hybrid (2 Days Onsite / 3 Days Remote)

    Schedule: Day Shift

    Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a Workday Payroll App Engineer who will act as a subject matter expert for Workday Payroll and related modules. This role focuses on supporting enterprise HR and payroll applications, driving integrations, and ensuring stable, scalable, and high-performing solutions in a DevOps and Agile environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide subject matter expertise on Workday Payroll and/or related modules including Benefits, Compensation, Talent Management, Absence Management, Time & Attendance, Integration, Security, and Data Conversion
    • Support the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for application solutions
    • Deploy, configure, customize, and support business applications
    • Integrate vendor-sourced enterprise applications with internal systems such as SAP
    • Debug existing code and implement minor enhancements
    • Develop deep domain knowledge through understanding end-to-end business processes
    • Gather and translate business requirements into fit-for-purpose technical solutions
    • Actively participate in a DevOps team using Agile methodologies with strong change management focus
    • Provide daily operational support, including incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis, configuration changes, and performance monitoring
    • Proactively communicate and respond to production issues and project deliverables
    • Monitor interfaces and data loads, administer security, and provide recommendations on application performance
    • Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with software engineers and team members on tactical and strategic initiatives
    • Develop and maintain technical and support documentation
    • Ensure IP compliance across systems and software

    Required Qualifications

    • Hands-on knowledge of Workday technologies, including:
    • Advanced Custom Reports, EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), Core Connectors, PICOF/PECI
    • Workday Studio and Workday Web Services
    • Experience with ServiceNow, including:
    • HR Service Delivery Suite (Case & Knowledge Management)
    • System Administration and Portal Configuration
    • REST and SOAP integrations
    • Strong experience in Workday Payroll and/or related modules:
    • Benefits, Compensation, Talent Management, Absence Management, Time & Attendance, Integration, Security, Data Conversion
    • Experience with Core HCM and related Workday functional areas
    • Skilled in scripting, workflow automation, and low-code development platforms
    • Solid understanding of software engineering principles
    • Strong written and verbal communication and facilitation skills
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Self-directed, flexible, and able to work with minimal supervision
    • Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to change
    • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
    • Experience with Agile methodologies such as SAFe, Kanban, and Scrum
    • Nice to Have: Hands-on experience with two or more of the following:
    • C#, C++, Angular, , SQL, Ansible, R, Java, Python, Azure, REST/WCF services, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, Oracle, SQL Server
