Job Summary

The Assistant Project Manager – Civil Works (Cabo San Diego) supports the Project Manager in overseeing both horizontal and vertical works. The role ensures proper coordination between infrastructure and building components to achieve quality, safety, cost, and schedule targets. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in residential villa construction and subdivision/road development projects.

Key Responsibilities

Horizontal Works (Roads & Infrastructure)

• Supervise earthworks, grading, road base preparation, asphalt/concrete paving.
• Oversee drainage systems (stormwater lines, culverts, canals).
• Monitor installation of underground utilities (waterline, sewer, electrical conduits).
• Ensure compliance with approved road profiles, compaction standards, and testing requirements.
• Coordinate survey team for road alignment and elevation control.

Vertical Works (Villas Construction)

• Assist in managing full villa construction cycle:
• Excavation & foundations
• Structural works (columns, beams, slabs)
• Masonry & roofing
• Finishing works coordination
• Monitor structural compliance with plans and specifications.
• Coordinate MEP integration with structural and architectural works.
• Ensure quality control of concrete pouring, rebars, and formworks.

Project Coordination & Management

• Coordinate contractors for both horizontal and vertical scopes.
• Assist in preparation of work schedules (look-ahead & master schedule).
• Monitor daily progress and resolve site issues.
• Conduct regular site inspections and toolbox meetings.
• Prepare progress reports and cost monitoring updates.

Quality & Safety Compliance

• Ensure QA/QC procedures are implemented for both roadworks and villa construction.
• Enforce safety standards on site.
• Coordinate material testing (soil compaction, concrete tests, asphalt tests).
• Ensure compliance with Philippine building codes and local LGU requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Licensed Civil Engineer.
• 5–8 years experience in: Subdivision / road construction (horizontal works), residential villa or low-rise building construction (vertical works)
• Strong knowledge in: Earthworks & road construction standards, structural works & concrete quality control, reading architectural, structural, and civil drawings
• Willing to be assigned full-time in Lian, Batangas.
