- Own day-to-day bookkeeping for assigned clients, ensuring timely and accurate financials each month.
- Perform weekly and monthly reconciliations for client accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies or uncategorized items.
- Push and review receipts weekly and monthly using Hubdoc or other tools to maintain accurate records.
- Perform comprehensive reviews and clean-up of back-log financial records to restore accuracy and compliance.
- Manage, update, and maintain client accounts, including bank feeds, transaction/bank rules, and manual data imports as needed.
- Ensure that all bookkeeping processes comply with applicable laws, standards, and best practices to maintain client compliance.
- Own and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for assigned clients, including invoicing, bill entry, payment scheduling, and follow-up to support accurate cash flow and reporting.
- Assist in development, maintenance, and refinement client-specific SOP to document workflows, unique bookkeeping processes, and financial reporting standards.
- Assist, as needed, with responses to client inquiries via email, Slack, Loom, or other designated communication tools, providing updates and resolving questions.
- Assist with preparing contractor payment reports, filing 1099s, and organizing client financial information during tax season.
- Utilize tools like QuickBooks Online, Xero, Gusto, Hubdoc, and the like effectively, ensuring client data accuracy and team efficiency.
- Support onboarding tasks such as account setup and cleanup of historical data under the direction of the Bookkeeping Operations Manager or assigned team member.
- Assist part-time, junior, and seasonal bookkeepers by answering questions, troubleshooting issues, and providing guidance on processes and tools.
- Ad hoc tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any related field
- At least 3-5 years experience working in US Public Firms
- Experience with processing Payroll as well as AR/AP
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online (QBO), Xero and Gusto Payroll.
- Certifications in QBO is required, and certifications Xero is a plus
- Sales Tax experience- at least 1 year experience is a plus
- Experience with Hubdoc and Financial Cents, firm will train if needed.

- Start and end times may flex by up to 1–2 hours with prior approval, but candidates must maintain full overlap with core U.S. business hours and be available Monday through Friday MT time.
