About the Organisation

We are a growing allied health provider delivering high-quality clinical services across multiple locations. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the organisation's financial operations, ensure compliance with Australian regulatory requirements, and support sustainable business growth.

About the Role

The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, statutory compliance, payroll, and financial reporting. Experience within a healthcare or allied health environment, including familiarity with Medicare, NDIS, or private health billing processes, will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Statutory Reporting

Preparation and lodgement of Business Activity Statements (BAS)
Preparation of Superannuation Guarantee (SG) statements and compliance with super obligations
Ensuring compliance with ATO and relevant regulatory requirements

Accounts Management

Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable
Credit control and debtor management
Processing supplier payments and reconciling statements

Banking & Reconciliations

Performing regular bank and credit card reconciliations
Maintaining accurate general ledger records

Payroll

Processing payroll in accordance with Australian employment legislation
Managing PAYG withholding, superannuation payments, and payroll reporting
Ensuring compliance with Single Touch Payroll (STP) requirements

Financial Reporting

Preparing monthly management reports
Assisting with quarterly financial reporting
Preparing annual financial statements and supporting documentation
Assisting with budgeting and cash flow forecasting

Bookkeeping

Maintaining accurate financial records
General bookkeeping and data entry
Supporting internal and external audits as required

Skills & Experience

Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 2+ years' experience in a similar role (preferred)
Strong working knowledge of Xero (essential)
Sound understanding of Australian taxation and superannuation regulations
Experience with payroll processing and compliance
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: From Php30,000.00 per month
