Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible in maintaining the books of accounts and other accounting records in conformity with sound accounting principles and preparing selected Head Office and BSP reports
Prepares monitoring report for compliance to regulatory ratios and limits
Prepares mandatory reports for Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP)
Prepares and files monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns to the Bureau of Internal Revenue
Coordinates with external consultants for tax reviews and queries
Perform monthly variance analysis (month on month, actual performance vs budget)
Prepares accounting tickets based on approved transactions and proposed adjustments
Conduct an annual review/update of the Accounting policy
Prepare SOPs for the responsibilities/functions performed by the department
Submit the audited financial statements to required regulatory bodies within the deadline
Assists in the preparation of payment to suppliers, claimants and other creditors through check disbursement voucher
Assists Head of Accounting in controlling and filing of all department computer print-out reports
Acts as the Senior Accounting Specialist reliever
Performs other related duties assigned by the bank
Job Requirements
Must be a graduate of BS Accountancy and preferably a Certified Public Accountant
With at least 5-7 years of work experience in a banking industry; experience in a foreign bank is an advantage
Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
Accuracy and attention to detail
