    The Paralegal (Labor Relations and Compliance) Specialist is responsible for providing legal and administrative support to the Team by managing and maintaining its day-to-day documentation, paperwork, and records in accordance with the company's procedures, guidelines, policies, and best practices, with the objective of sustaining the optimal functioning of the Team in managing labor relations and compliance matters of the organization.

    What You Will Do:

    1. Legal Research: Conduct research on labor laws, regulations and compliance requirements to ensure the organization remains up-to-date and compliant.
    2. Digital Content Management:
    3. Preparation of creative designs for presentation materials, infographics, announcements, reminders;
    4. Maintenance of labor journal website (member's database, uploading of content, relevant materials, etc)
    5. Creates e-learning videos based on materials provided by lawyer
    6. Policy Development and Compliance Monitoring: Assist the lawyer in the development, review, and revision of company policies and procedures, provide assistance to Business Units Points of Contacts (BU POCs) in completing and monitoring labor laws compliance checklist to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
    7. Drafting of Simple Legal Documents and Reports Preparation: Assist the lawyer in drafting simple legal documents such as letters, contracts, agreements, policies and reports related to labor relations and compliance matters.
    8. Liaison with Regulatory Agencies and External Lawyers: Assist the lawyer in liaising with government agencies, employers organizations, external lawyers on labor related concerns.
    9. Training and Education: Assist the lawyer in the development of training programs, educational materials and the conduct of forums, workshops, webinars and seminars to empower HR, Legal and senior management in the latest changes in labor laws.
    10. Employee Relations and Risk Management Support: Provide support in handling of employee discipline, expat concerns, potential legal risks and compliance issues related to labor relations.
    11. Administrative Support, Documentation and Records Management
    • Spearhead and Monitor Labor Relations and Compliance Team Initiatives
    • Provide administrative support to lawyer, legal teams, including generating reports and presentations, and setting up for meetings;
    • Using prescribed software, subscriptions, and database to generate reports, transcribe minutes from meetings, and create presentations;
    • Manages all documented information produced in the day-to-day transactions of the Team, from the time of creation or inscription to its eventual disposition, to ensure that all documentation procedures are compliant with the Aboitiz Group's Quality Management System (QMS) filing and records-keeping policies
    • Documents, monitors, and updates the Team's QMS procedures, guidelines, and forms.
    • Performs such other duties and functions as may be assigned by the team leader from time to time.

    What We Look For:

    • Graduate of Legal Management or any related field.
    • Has at least 3 years of related experience, preferably in a law firm set up.
    • Exposure with labor laws, employee discipline and expat documentation preferred.
    • Skilled in using google workspace, canva, office software, legal research tools, and e-learning creation tools. Familiarity with google site maintenance, database management, and e-learning content creation is preferred.
