Job Description

As a Zendesk Systems Administrator, you'll support system performance, troubleshoot platform issues, and help manage key user tools and integrations that keep customer experiences seamless. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain reliability, improve workflows, and contribute to a smoother, smarter support environment.

The Qualifications We Seek

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3 years of experience in systems administration or similar roles, preferably in customer service or sales environments
• Experience with platform integrations and managing user systems (experience with Zendesk, Amazon Telephony, and Gainsight is a plus)
• Hands-on experience with Zendesk, or similar customer service and CRM platforms
• Basic understanding of telephony systems, with a preference for experience with Amazon Telephony (e.g., Amazon Connect)
• Some experience with integrations and ETL processes (or a willingness to learn and improve in these areas)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving system issues
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, communicating technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• A mindset focused on continuous improvement and learning, with a desire to grow into more advanced system administration tasks

Your Daily Tasks

• Assist with the day-to-day administration of key platforms including Zendesk and Gainsight, covering user management, workflows, and automation to support operational efficiency
• Help configure ticketing systems, troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations for enhancements to improve the customer service experience
• Act as a key point of contact for Zendesk and Gainsight queries, supporting system updates and minor configuration changes
• Support the administration of Amazon Telephony systems (e.g., Amazon Connect), including configuring call flows, IVRs, and routing to improve call centre efficiency
• Troubleshoot telephony issues and escalate more complex problems to the senior team when required
• Collaborate with internal teams to integrate Amazon Telephony with other platforms (e.g., Zendesk, Salesforce)
• Assist with monitoring and maintaining integrations between Zendesk, Amazon Telephony, Salesforce, and other connected systems
• Participate in basic ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure proper data flow across platforms, and assist in troubleshooting data-related issues
• Support the integrity and quality of data moving between systems to enable accurate reporting and smooth operational processes
