Job Summary
The Finance Specialist is responsible for BIR compliance, invoicing, and accounts payable and receivable functions. This role ensures accurate financial transactions, timely remittance and collections, and compliance
Key Responsibilities
Taxation & BIR Compliance
- Prepare, file, and monitor BIR tax returns (e.g., withholding taxes, VAT, income tax)
- Ensure compliance with BIR regulations, deadlines, and documentation requirements
- Assist during tax audits and respond to BIR-related concerns
Invoicing & Accounts Receivable
- Prepare and issue sales invoices and billing statements
- Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on collections, and maintain accurate AR records
- Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve client invoicing issues
Accounts Payable
- Review and process vendor invoices and supporting documents
- Prepare payment schedules and ensure timely settlement of payables
- Maintain accurate AP records and vendor files
Financial Records & Reporting
- Maintain complete and accurate financial documentation and records
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and month-end closing activities
- Support internal controls and financial process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
- At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting
- Hands-on experience BIR compliance, invoicing, and AP/AR
- Experience in managing statutory contributions is an advantage
