- Lead the development and maintenance of Salon Software and systems.
- Research, investigate and plan the implementation of new software and systems.
- As the development team grows, manage the department to meet key business objectives.
- Manage release building, testing, documentation, and deployment.
- Provide estimations and clear information regarding the status of development (including weekly reporting).
- Oversee the development of automated systems including hardware staging, upgrading and deployments.
- Updating user manuals and technical support manuals including help files and consumer release notes.QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Computer Systems/Software Development or similar/ related course
- Extensive knowledge of Retail POS/Salon Software hardware and software solutions or similar is highly regarded
- High level of technical knowledge - experience with the following will be highly regarded: Borland C++ Builder IDE, C++ principles and frameworks, C#.Net, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RAD Studio (or equivalent), SQL Server, MySQL, DevOps/Cloud and Agile.
- Experience in working with data transfer/replication tools
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Has a high sense of initiative and self-motivation
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- A positive approach to business and professional manner
