- Looking at the requirements of individual clients and advising what speed of connection is required plus any additional requirements such as dedicated IP address, port forwarding etc.
- Provisioning of services to individual clients using a user friendly web interface to the Bandwidth and Contention controller at the particular site.
- Daily monitor of the network to ensure that it is running smoothly and to identify issues before they affect clients.
- Dealing with calls and emails from Clients who have questions or issues – normally slow internet or trouble connecting certain devices.
- Managing the Companies own Office 365 instance and occasional those of clients.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role, with at least 5 of experience in providing technical support in a professional environment.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems and productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Familiarity with networking protocols, technologies, and equipment (e.g., TCP/IP, Ethernet, routers, switches).
- Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, including diagnosing hardware failures and software conflicts.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices, including access controls, encryption, and security protocols.
