What you'll do:

As a Senior Finance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing all aspects of our client's financial operations. You will take full ownership of capital processes, from budgeting through to financial reporting, ensuring adherence to SOX processes. Your strong communication skills will enable you to provide valuable insights and options to management regarding capital controls. Your familiarity with Pronto Enterprise Management System and your understanding of generally accepted accounting principles will be key in this role.

• Take full ownership of capital processes from budgeting to financial reporting
• Provide leadership and coordination of the site Finance Department
• Ensure that accounting procedures conform to company policies and generally accepted accounting principles
• Actively involve in the company management functions
• Establish controls to ensure the reporting of accurate data and protection of the assets of the business
• Communicate effectively and provide options to management regarding capital controls

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Finance Officer position brings a wealth of experience in finance, particularly within the mining industry. As an Accounting graduate, preferably a CPA, you have spent at least ten years honing your skills as a Capital Accountant, Finance Officer or similar roles. Your ability to communicate effectively sets you apart, enabling you to provide insightful options to management regarding capital controls. Your knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles is up-to-date and comprehensive, and you are familiar with Pronto Enterprise Management System. Your strong problem-solving skills, coupled with your excellent planning and organising abilities, make you a strong contender for this role.

• A degree in Accounting, preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• At least ten years' work experience preferably in the Mining Industry as a Capital Accountant, Finance Officer, Cost or Management Accountant
• Ability to communicate effectively and provide options to management regarding capital controls
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and current pronouncements and developments
• Experience with Pronto Enterprise Management System
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good problem analysis and problem-solving skills
• Excellent planning, organising, scheduling, and monitoring skills
