Job Title: Technology Systems Analyst (a combination of Application Developer and IT Operations function)

Qualifications:

1. Must be a graduate of a bachelor's degree course (4-year course) in the IT or Computer Science related fields
2. Experience with identifying potential service risks and issues, and providing effective technical solutions to mitigate those risks
3. Must have a minimum of 2 years work experience in related field/job (IT Projects)
4. Technical knowledge - sufficient knowledge of current and emerging technologies that will aid organizational day-to-day operations.
5. Knowledge of some or all of the following programming and systems development tools and emerging technologies â VBA, Java, .Net, C#, ETL, web programming, virtualization, Cloud computing, MS SQL Server, Oracle DB, RAP
6. Must have good communication skills

Job Summary:

Develops and supports all application software solutions, handles projects and BAU support of Non-Life Reinsurance, Non-Life Data Admin, Internal Audit, and Finance teams. Works closely with functional business leaders to understand the business needs and priorities.

Scope of responsibilities:

Systems/Application Development or Enhancement

1. Help identify system/application solutions that will address the usersâ requirements

2. Document business requirements as basis for application development

3. Design and develop new programs, reports or enhancements to existing applications

4. Conduct unit and system testing on applications developed or enhanced

5. Coordinate and manage user acceptance testing and deployment

6. Maintain project and code repository

7. Enhance the existing core codes of the programs being developed to avoid programming âfrom scratchâ and adhere to the current coding standards

8. Uses/explores/evaluates up-to-date technologies

9. Streamlines the business process being designed. Example of these technologies can be Robotic Process Automation (RPA) using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).

Data Processing and Application Support

1. Maintain and implement updates to third-party systems

2. Manage access and licenses in coordination with Infrastructure support

3. Provide support to business through specific administrative functions (eg. ARIMA opening and closing)

4. Support ad hoc request for data extraction and reports generation

5. Address and resolve tickets raised for application support/remediation

Vendor Management

1. Liaise with partners and service providers
