Job Summary:

The District Sales Manager (DSM) is responsible for leading, coaching, and managing a team of Medical Representatives to achieve sales targets and strengthen client's presence in the Respiratory / Pulmonology segment. This role ensures effective territory execution, people development, and alignment with brand strategies across the assigned district.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and motivate a team of Medical Representatives to achieve district sales objectives and KPIs.
Drive strong execution of respiratory and pulmonology brand strategies at the field level.
Conduct regular field coaching, joint calls, and performance reviews to improve selling skills and territory coverage.
Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities; implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure effective call planning, territory management, and customer engagement with Pulmonologists, IMs, and key specialists.
Work closely with Marketing, Training, and Medical teams to ensure aligned execution of promotional programs.
Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing sales talent within the district.
Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and submit accurate sales forecasts, reports, and action plans.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 5–8 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
Proven experience handling Respiratory / Pulmonology brands (Asthma, COPD, etc.) is required.
Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
