A Laboratory Technician (Aide) supports scientists and staff by performing routine tasks like cleaning/sterilizing equipment, preparing samples for testing, maintaining inventory, documenting basic results, and ensuring lab organization, all under supervision, focusing on fundamental lab operations and adhering strictly to safety protocols.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lab Maintenance: Clean, sterilize, and maintain lab equipment, glassware, work surfaces, and general lab areas.
- Sample Handling: Receive, log, label, and prepare biological or research samples for testing by senior staff.
- Testing Support: Assist technologists and scientists with conducting experiments, preparing reagents, and gathering data.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of activities, test results, and inventory.
- Inventory & Supplies: Monitor stock levels, organize supplies, and report needs for ordering replacements.
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly follow all health, safety regulations, and laboratory policies, including proper disposal of hazardous materials.
Qualifications/Requirements
At least college level/ Civil Technology. Preferably with at least 3 years of working experience in concrete industry or ready mix concrete.
