Job summary
We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our FinTech team. You will be working together with FinTech Analysts & Finance stakeholders to maintain and grow our datasets in Snowflake through Airflow and DBT, deliver data products and analytical solutions within Essor.
Responsibilities
- Analyse, transform, prepare data from its raw early stage to the refined models that will be used by the Finance team.
- Support your team to build scalable data platforms.
- Collaborate with the business stakeholders and the product team to define the right solutions, decompose and prioritize the initiatives to get there
- Manage your scope, and prioritize your task assignments to deliver quality products.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through well-defined acceptance criteria and testing.
Qualifications
- With 5 or more years of experience in Data Engineering
- You are passionate about data optimization applying the latest methodologies to increase performance and reduce computing costs.
- You must be proficient in data exploration, modeling and analysis, being a master of SQL/DBT and eager to facilitate the resolution of technical issues.
- Familiar with data science tools such as NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib.
- You are structured, you want to understand the business domains in order to design the expected logic and code proper cataloging of data.
- You are all about providing insights, working with business teams to explore and identify the next KPIs that will drive our products to the top
- Fluent written and verbal communication in English
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced, high ambition environment
- High level of organization, impeccable attention to detail, capacity to figure out complex problems without a lot of oversight
