    The Network Associate is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and monitoring the organization's network infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity, security, and performance. This role assists in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network systems, including LAN, WAN, internet connections, and related hardware and software. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and capable of resolving network issues efficiently while supporting daily IT operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Network Support and Maintenance

    • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
    • Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
    • Perform routine network maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

    Troubleshooting and Technical Support

    • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and internet-related problems.
    • Provide technical support to users experiencing network or connectivity issues.
    • Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or network administrators when necessary.

    Network Monitoring and Security

    • Monitor network systems for performance issues, outages, and security risks.
    • Assist in implementing network security measures such as firewalls, antivirus systems, and access controls.
    • Help ensure compliance with company IT policies and security standards.

    Documentation and Reporting

    • Maintain accurate records of network configurations, equipment inventory, and system updates.
    • Document network issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
    • Assist in preparing network performance and incident reports.

    Coordination and Support

    • Coordinate with IT team members, vendors, and service providers for network setup, maintenance, and issue resolution.
    • Assist in setting up network connections for new offices, workstations, and project sites.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
    • 1–3 years of experience in network support, IT support, or related role (fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge may be considered).
    • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, VPN).
    • Familiarity with network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
    • Knowledge of Windows and basic server/network environments.
    • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
