    FILINVEST COMPANY: FILINVEST LAND, INC.

    The Paralegal is in-charge of providing direct support to lawyers involving corporate matters. Task includes drafting of legal documents, liaising with different government agencies like the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPO).


    KEY FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Handling of Conglomerate Applications to SEC

    · Familiarize self on the requirements and processes of each application to SEC so that the company is properly guided

    · Prepare such requirements based on the prescribe rules and format to ensure that it will be accepted by the examiner during submission

    · Draft each requirement in advance so that the lawyer will have an enough time in reviewing the same

    · Finalize requirements based on the comments and recommendations of the lawyer in order for the filing to immediately proceed

    · Maintain a good relationship with all the examiners so that all the companies applications will be processed and approved faster than the usual processing time


    2. Compliance to SEC Reportorial Requirements

    · Keep an updated list of deadlines of the reportorial requirements required to be submitted by all companies in the conglomerate to ensure that said reports will submitted on time in order to avoid penalties/fines

    · Acquire an updated format of such reports to ensure that it will be accepted by SEC during filing

    · Prepare said report in advance so that the proper signatory will have an enough time in reviewing the same

    · Finalize the report based on the comments and recommendations of the signatory so that filing of the same can immediately proceed


    3. Handling Trademark Applications of FLI and FDC and subsidiaries to IPO

    · Familiarize self on the requirements and processes of each trademark application to IPO so that the company is properly guided

    · Prepare such requirements based on the prescribe rules and format to ensure that it will be accepted by the examiner during submission

    · Draft requirement in advance so that the lawyer will have an enough time in reviewing the same


    4. Maintenance of Company Trademarks

    · Keep an updated list of deadlines of each trademark applications of the company so that declaration of actual use (DAU) will be prepared in advance and submitted on time.

    · Acquire an updated format and requirements of such DAU to ensure that the same will be accepted by IPO during submission

    · Inform requisitioner of the deadlines of the DAU for each trademark through inter-office memorandum signed by the immediate supervisor so that the requirements needed to be submitted in connection with said declaration will be acquired

    · Prepare said DAU immediately after the requisitioner provides the required documents to be attached to said report as well as the filing fee so that the lawyer will have an enough time in reviewing the same

    · Finalize the DAU based on the comments and recommendations of the lawyer so that submission can immediately done
