    Responsibilities

    Job Description
    • Work with the Motive SDK to develop interactive VR trainings and tours for clients
    • Collaborate with the team to create engaging and effective VR experiences
    • Optimize VR experiences for performance and usability across a variety of devices
    • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers on the team
    • Debug and troubleshoot issues that arise during development and testing
    • Stay up-to-date with new Unity and VR development technologies and best practices
    • Work in an agile setting with daily standups, planning meetings, and from a backlog of features/stories and update progress along the way

    Requirements

    • 3-5 years of experience in Unity development
    • Experience with VR development and understanding of VR best practices
    • Strong understanding of C# and object-oriented programming
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
    • Proficient in English, both written and verbal
    • Experience working from a backlog of features/stories using tools such as ADO or Jira
    • Has a computer programming background or a solid understanding of programming concepts
    • Using the Motive SDK, the Unity developer must be able to do the following:

    ○ Can create a Unity Project

    ○ Can import packages from package manager

    ○ Can import assets

    ○ Can set up a VR development environment (using Oculus link, for example) so that you can view the project in a headset

    ○ Can navigate a 3D scene and manipulate 3D objects with keyboard/mouse controls

    ○ Can add 3D objects to a scene

    ○ Can create prefabs

    ○ Understands the relationship between prefabs and prefab variants

    ○ Can manage asset bundles

    ○ Can add components to a prefab and update their configuration

    ○ Can add colliders to objects and edit them. Understand the difference between a trigger vs non-trigger collider

    ○ Understands and manage anchors on 3D objects (pivot vs center) and how the location of the anchor will affect the behavior of the object in VR

    ○ Has a solid grasp on the built-in Unity Physics Engine. This is essential for more intricate configurations involving hinges, joints, attachables, etc.

    ○ Has a rudimentary understanding of the Unity Particle System to add effects to assets

    ○ Has a rudimentary understanding of the Unity Animation System

    ○ Be able to work with audio files in Unity - specifically to add sound effects to object interactions

    ○ Understand Character Controls (for scenarios with characters)

    ○ Have a rudimentary understanding of the Unity Graphics System

    The intermediate level assembler should be able to
    • Add joints to an object (hinges, sliding joints etc.) and configure them to emit events at desired
    • states (open/closed, in/out)
    • Set up behavior models so that objects have defined, trackable states
    • Make objects usable (using touch and trigger interactions)
    • Add sound effects to an object
    • Configure characters to be used in scenarios
    • Create state machines control the behavior of complex objects (this is intermediate/advanced)

    Nice To Have

    • Experience working with other VR platforms such as Oculus, HTC Vive, or Google Cardboard
    • Familiarity with 3D modeling software such as Blender or Maya
    • Experience with game development or gamification
    • Experience working with the Motive SDK or similar VR development platforms

    Must be comfortable working homebased

    Must have at least 70mbps internet connection at home

    Must be willing to work Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm MNL Time
