Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance & Control
- Monitor and inspect civil works such as excavation, concrete placement, rebar installation, formwork, and finishing.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, local building codes, and international standards (e.g., ASTM, ACI, ISO).
- Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily inspection reports, test records, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Review and approve method statements, material submittals, and shop drawings.
- Maintain logs for inspections, tests, corrective actions, and approvals.
- Coordination & Supervision
- Liaise with site engineers, contractors, and consultants to resolve quality issues.
- Supervise subcontractors to ensure civil works are executed per approved plans.
- Participate in internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
- Technical Review
- Review construction drawings and specifications for constructability and compliance.
- Witness and verify field tests such as slump tests, compaction tests, and concrete cube strength tests.
