The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of materials to customers. The role includes assisting in the checking, loading, unloading, and proper piling/arrangement of items in the truck to ensure accuracy, safety, and prevention of damage during transport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver materials to customer locations.
- Ensure on-time delivery while following assigned routes and schedules.
- Assist in checking items against delivery documents before loading and unloading.
- Properly load, pile, secure, and arrange materials inside the truck to prevent damage during transit.
- Inspect goods for any visible damage and report discrepancies immediately.
- Obtain customer signatures on delivery receipts and return documents to the office.
- Perform daily vehicle inspection (fuel, oil, brakes, tires, lights, etc.) before and after trips.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned vehicle.
- Follow traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Report any vehicle issues, delivery delays, or incidents promptly to the supervisor.
- Assist warehouse personnel when needed.
Qualifications:
- At least High School Graduate.
- With valid Professional Driver's License (Restriction Code appropriate for truck type).
- Proven experience as a delivery driver is an advantage.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and local routes.
- Responsible, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Good communication skills.
