The
Financial Planning & Control Manager
will lead the company's financial management and control functions, including accounting operations, management reporting, audit coordination, and financial planning & analysis. This role ensures fiscal integrity, regulatory compliance, and strong internal controls while providing strategic financial insights that support retail operations and business growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Financial Management & Governance
- Oversee daily finance operations, general ledger management, and period-end closings
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and financial policies
- Coordinate statutory, internal, and operational audits
- Ensure adherence to tax regulations and reporting standards
B. Controllership & Reporting
- Lead preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Conduct P&L analysis by brand, store, and business segment
- Monitor balance sheet reconciliations and maintain data integrity
C. Management Accounting & FP&A
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring cycles
- Develop financial models and analytical tools to measure KPIs
- Provide decision support for pricing, investments, and strategic initiatives
D. Audit, Compliance & Internal Controls
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Strengthen internal controls across O2C, P2P, and R2R processes
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements
E. Business Partnership
- Collaborate with operations, merchandising, supply chain, and leadership teams
- Translate financial data into actionable business insights
QUALIFICATIONS
- CPA certification (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or Economics
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in controllership, FP&A, and audit (retail, FMCG, or distribution preferred)
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial control frameworks
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and business partnering skills
